The following collections are “required” to be announced and taken in all parishes of the Archdiocese of Detroit. Parishioners will have the opportunity to decide whether or not they wish to contribute.

NOTE: Archdiocese for Military Services, USA collection is taken up every three years. This collection is not taken up in 2025 or 2026.

Instructions 

With the exception of the Propagation of the Faith/Mission Sunday Collection (see above), parish check(s) should be made payable to the Archdiocese of Detroit-Designated Fund-Collections (Archdiocese of Detroit-Des Fund-Coll). Proceeds from each collection should be forwarded, within four to six weeks after the collection is completed, to the Department of Finance and Administration, with the name and amount of the collection clearly identified.

The Archdiocese of Detroit does not participate in the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) and the Pastoral Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa collections.
